THE "Super" Eagles of Nigeria were on Tuesday night a mere shadow of themselves as the Black Stars of Ghana overpowered them to take the day in a five goal thriller at Brentford's Griffin Park, hotsportslive.com reports.

Although the Nigerian side took the chunk of possession in the first half, Ghana came out on top in a second-half goal rush, sparking jubilant scenes of celebration from fans in the stadium.

Laryea Kingston opened the scoring with a low drive on 49 minutes, and Sulley Muntari thumped in the second.

Junior Agogo tapped in a third from a delightful cross from the right on the hour mark before Taye Taiwo pulled one back from the penalty spot.

Joetex Frimpong completed the scoring 12 minutes from time, and the final whistle sparked a larger-scale pitch invasion that made West London resemble a partuclarly joyous part of West Africa.

Nigeria and Ghana have now met 60 times with Ghana coming tops 24 times.
